This class will teach the beginner through a brief history of the “French Harp” and teach some basic harmonic theory and practical exercises.

Folk singer Michael Cohen and the group “Sugar on the Floor” present a variety of songs from the 19th century and other genres. Cohen has worked with the Smithsonian Instituite in searching for and cataloging American folk tunes.

Boats will gather in the harbor by the Friday Harbor Labs, all polished and pressed, the boats will parade one by one towards town. This year’s theme is: “Come as you are”. Boats will be judged in 2 categories: Traditionally Dressed and Theme Dressed, by this year’s parade marshal Fred Hoeppner.
