Summer Ferry Schedule Starts Today

While the first official day of summer may have been a couple of days ago, the Washington State Ferry system starts its summer today with the new, expanded ferry schedule.  One cool addition is two daily sailings between Anacortes, WA and Sydney BC (for people going to Victoria, also), with the evening sailing landing in Friday Harbor.   Decoding this strange system can be a little tricky, so call Elements hotel  & spa if you have any questions.

Easy ferry tip: Which ever ferry you are trying for, be there at least 1.5 hours ahead of time, and chances are very good that you will get on. Happy ferry travel.

The only problem with the summer schedule is that the last boat from Anacortas leaves at 8:25 during the week. On thursday night there is one at 10:55 but who really wants to get to this beautiful island at 1:05 on Friday morning. There is another late one sat, sun, mon at 12:20, this one gets in at 2:05. I suggest getting to the ferry to catch the 8:25.
